For generations, the collective mindsets within the Horn of Africa have been periodically trapped in this self-destructive paradigm. External influences provide the spark, and internal factions readily strike the match, misinterpreting destruction for empowerment. But let us look into the mirror of absolute truth: conflict carries a one-hundred-percent failure rate. It constructs no schools, secures no futures, and feeds no children. It leaves behind only a tragic audit of wasted time, fractured lives, and ash.

Every sovereign nation possesses an inalienable right to uplift its people from economic darkness. When Ethiopia builds its foundational infrastructure, it is not an act of subtraction—it is a monumental act of creation. True development operates like light; it cannot be confined within a single room. The clean energy generated here is designed to illuminate our neighbors, establishing a structural blueprint for shared abundance across Sudan and Eritrea, provided we choose the path of cooperation.

Why must regional progress be viewed through the narrow lens of scarcity? When one nation rises, the entire neighborhood elevates with it. The everyday citizen already understands this organic bond. Despite political friction, families seek sanctuary across our borders, and neighbors cross into Ethiopia to work, live, and build. The human heart naturally seeks a partner, never an adversary."

This is the precise context of the Red Sea. Securing a commercial maritime gateway for Ethiopia is not an act of geopolitical aggression; it is an existential economic necessity for one-hundred and thirty million people who rightfully belong in the global marketplace.

An open gateway unlocks a massive, dynamic population ready to engage in international commerce. This does not diminish our neighbors—it enriches them. Sustainable prosperity emerges when we think collaboratively as Africans, actively reinforcing one another. A thriving connected Ethiopia serves as the definitive anchor for an unstoppable, prosperous Horn of Africa.

To observe the authentic character of Ethiopia’s leadership under Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali is to witness a profound philosophy of strategic patience, tireless industriousness, and absolute tolerance. Under his stewardship, the nation has achieved unprecedented technological self-reliance, developing sophisticated defensive infrastructure and advanced aerospace deterrents entirely within its sovereign borders. The nation possesses overwhelming capability ready at its fingertips.

Yet, observe the profound restraint of this administration: even when internal actors attempt to disrupt stability and revive conflict, the leadership and the armed forces consistently exercise historic patience.

This restraint is not an absence of power; it is the ultimate demonstration of wisdom. Ethiopia is fully prepared to safeguard its sovereignty, yet its leader actively champions dialogue and institutional reconciliation because he knows war produces only casualties. True strength exists strictly for deterrence to maintain an unshakeable shield of peace while continuously inviting adversaries back to the table of brotherhood."

Look closely at the horizon of our youth. The outdated narrative of our children leaving their homeland to seek menial labor or struggle daily for basic survival in foreign lands must end. Our youth are born to be international innovators, tech pioneers, and global business leaders. They possess the intellect, the digital literacy, and the drive to build world-changing enterprises, requiring only the rightful geographic access to step onto the global stage.

To the world leaders watching: we appeal directly to our shared humanity. A prosperous, stable Africa is not a threat to international balances; it is the ultimate catalyst for global economic growth. By supporting a peaceful, open Red Sea gateway, you are safeguarding a vital global trade corridor and welcoming an entire generation of brilliant economic partners. Let us replace the crumbs of dependency with a seat at the global table of friendship and mutual commerce.

This message transcends the borders of the Horn of Africa; it is an urgent appeal to a bleeding world. Look at our global sphere. Spin it. We are a single, interconnected ecosystem. If violence touches one coordinate of this earth, the shockwaves ripple across oceans, affecting humanity thousands of miles away.

To anyone holding a weapon, to anyone engineering division in the shadows: return to your conscience. Examine your heart. Reflect on the priceless time we have squandered on hostility when we could have been building a world where our children live proudly, richly, and safely. Relinquish the politics of malice.

The idea of Medemer State, where African countries can employ for shared destiny. This will uplift African Countries to the mountains of success by exploiting its potentials.  Ethiopia is relentlessly working on peace and development of the Region. True power is the courage to stand before your neighbor, extend your hand, and declare: 'Your peace is my peace. Let us build together.'
